Rachel's Birth Session

Rachel’s story is no stranger to my blog. I’ve photographed her maternity photos, baby shower, birth, newborn and even Christening. I’ve spent a lot of time with Rachel and Bobby. I have certainly grown so fond of them. They are precious people.

Rachel contacted me about photographing her birth and had everything in place about halfway through her pregnancy, if memory serves. She loves to plan and have things in place. That’s my kind of girl! I’m the same way.

I knew Rachel was having her baby, but I waited. Things weren’t going as ideally as she would have wanted, and by the time they called, she had been laboring through an induction for a very, very long time. I waited with some family while she had an epidural. When I was able to go back, it had been decided. They were prepping the OR for a cesarean. I know it wasn’t in Rachel’s plan, but she beautifully adapted and handled everything with such grace.

Baby Eli is perfect. Such a gorgeous baby. Rachel and Bobby were head over heels in an instant. Eli was so squishy and aware. Such an alert little buddy.
